NORCROSS — Job seekers have an opportunity to submit their resume to about 30 companies during a job fair this week.
The spring job fair is the second annual event for the Gwinnett Village Community Alliance and has some of the top local companies involved. It is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Victory World Church, located at 5905 Brook Hollow Parkway in Norcross.
“With one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, many Gwinnett families are experiencing job loss and significant financial stress,” said Letycia Pastrana, the group’s executive director. “We are anticipating more than 1,000 job seekers will be in attendance providing a great opportunity for companies to search for quality employees.”
Employers expected to attend include Gwinnett Medical Center, Primerica, AARP, BB&T, RockTenn, FedEx and Bank of America.
The event will also feature expects offering career and financial workshops on topics including unemployment and finances, building your resume, job search skills and leadership development.
