Former Parkview and SMU standout Joey Sturdivant is one of 39 players picked for the U.S. Men's National Football Team, which will play July 8-16 in Austria for the International Federation of American Football Senior World Championships.
Sturdivant, who coaches and plays for an American football team in the Italian league, will be part of three round-robin games in Innsbruck -- July 8 vs. Australia, July 10 vs. Germany and July 12 vs. Mexico. The event's bronze medal and gold medal games are July 15 and 16 in Vienna.
