Atlanta Braves star Brian McCann continues to lead the National League catchers in all-star voting after the most recent results were released this week by Major League Baseball.

As of Monday, McCann has 1,646,822 votes for a good lead over second-place Yadier Molina of the Cardinals. Molina has 1,345,260 and injured Giant Buster Posey is third at 1,309,521. Jonathan Lucroy of the Brewers (807,588) is a distant fourth.

McCann has made the MLB All-Star Game in each of his first five full seasons.

Parkview grad Jeff Francoeur, who plays for the Kansas City Royals, is 11th in all-star voting among American League outfielders.

This year's all-star game is July 12 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Ariz.
