SNELLVILLE -- A sizable brush fire that threatened three homes and other buildings in Snellville was brought under control Sunday afternoon before serious damages occurred, officials said.
The fire, reported at 1:50 p.m., consumed about five acres of dense underbrush in a hilly, wooded area near Centerville Highway and Castlegate Drive, Eberly said.
"Command requested additional equipment, and the fire was extinguished within an hour without any damage to any structures," Eberly said.
No injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire is undetermined.
