A tractor-trailer hauling some "30 or 40" cows tipped over in a single-vehicle accident Friday afternoon, officials said, leaving its bovine passengers to wander Interstate 85 northbound near Spout Springs Road.
No injuries, human or animal, were reported, Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said. A single lane was was expected to be closed for about an hour as crews worked to turn the trailer over and gather the cattle, Smith said.
"They went off some distance from the truck and from the highway," Smith said Friday afternoon. "The farm responsible for the cows came out, and I think they've got them all rounded up."
