NORCROSS -- A Conyers man who allegedly held up a Norcross CVS Pharmacy on Thursday afternoon didn't get far.
Norcross police said Edward Underwood, 45, pulled a handgun on a cashier at the 5304 Buford Highway pharmacy about 4:30 p.m. and left with cash from a register.
Gwinnett officers -- who had been investigating an armed robber in other jurisdictions whose vehicle and physical description fit Underwood -- arrested him in his vehicle, near the scene, said Norcross police spokesman Capt. Brian Harr.
"The suspect was taken into custody without incident," Harr said.
Underwood remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond on armed robbery, aggravated assault and weapons charges. He's also being held for authorities in Cobb and DeKalb counties, records show.
An investigation continues, Harr said.
