Tanner Maloof and Jess Ramsey powered Norcross' summer baseball team to the championship of the varsity division at the Southeast Summer High School Showdown, a tournament co-hosted by neighboring schools Norcross and Wesleyan.

Maloof was 2-for-4 with a grand slam home run, a triple and five RBIs in a 13-4, title-game win over Thomasville (Ala.), while allowing no earned runs in three innings as the game's winning pitcher. Joseph Wilber (3-for-3, walk, three runs), Hamp Floyd (2-for-3, walk, two RBIs) and Chris Raasch (double, two RBIs) also contributed to the offensive explosion.

Greater Atlanta Christian won the JV division (16-and-under players) 4-2 over the Windward Baseball Academy behind Harrison Kerr, Jackson O'Brien and Brian Syphoe.
