Gwinnett Daily Post
TOLEDO, Ohio — Jose Constanza opened Tuesday’s game with a home run to kick start a four-hit, two RBI night to lead the Gwinnett Braves to a 4-1 win over Toledo.
The win was the fourth straight for Gwinnett. Starting pitcher Erik Cordier earned his first win throwing seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits, walking one and striking out five. Jairo Asencio picked up his seventh save in 11⁄3 innings, striking out three. Along with Constanza — who was a double away from the cycle — Shawn Bowman was the only other G-Brave with a multiple hit night going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Julio Lugo went 1-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base. The hit was the shortstop’s first since joining the team.More like this story
