The City of Buford is soliciting separate sealed Bids for pre-qualified contractors for the installation of all necessary components for the Main Street TE Electrical Relocations for the City of Buford.
Work under this project generally consists of the delivery and installation of feeder lines, distribution lines, and secondary lines, underground electrical, light, telephone, fiber optic, and cable conduits, transformers and electrical equipment, light poles, and power poles, and demolition and removal of existing electrical along project alignment, including site work, erosion control measures, connections, changeovers, and other related appurtenances.
City of Buford shall furnish anchor bolts, poles, fixtures, transformers, switch cubicles, conduit, conductors, vaults, and pads, for Contractor delivery and installation. City of Buford shall install conduit done by HDD, steel casing and borings, shall remove existing trees and light poles to be relocated, and shall install pavement patch and sidewalk repairs. AT&T and Charter Communications shall furnish cable and telephone conduits, for Contractor delivery and installation. Contractor shall furnish and install graded aggregate base for open cut trenches within
roadways and drives, erosion control and surface stabilization materials, and all electrical fittings, pull wire, connections, concrete pedestals and light pole bases, related appurtenances, and any other necessary construction items not listed herein.
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Buford, Georgia, at the Planning and Development office located at City Hall, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia 30518 until 2:00 P.M. local time, June 22, 2011, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. No proposal will be considered unless bidders are pre-qualified by the City and have attended the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference.
Interested bidders should obtain a Pre-Qualification Application from Keck & Wood, Inc. 2750 Premiere Parkway, Suite 900, Duluth, Georgia 30097. Sealed Pre-Qualification applications will be received by Keck & Wood, Inc., 2750 Premiere Parkway, Suite 900, Duluth, Georgia 30097, until 2:00 P.M. May 18, 2011. Pre-Qualification Applications received after this date will not be accepted. Pre-Qualification results will be sent to the applicants by June 1, 2011.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for all Pre-Qualified Contractors will be held at 2:00 P.M. local time, June 8, 2011 at City of Buford, City Hall, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia 30518.
The Contract Documents, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Bid, Bid Security, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, Notice of Award, Notice to Proceed, Change Order, Drawings, Certificate of Substantial Completion, Specifications and Addenda may be examined at the following locations:

To assure that Bidders receive all addenda and or clarifications to the bid documents in a timely manner, it is mandatory that all bidders obtain at least one complete set of Bid Documents from the Engineer to be eligible to bid on this project. Sets of the Bid Documents may be obtained at the office of Keck & Wood, Inc., the Engineer, upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for each set. Only complete sets will be issued. A CD with a PDF file of the Project Manual and a PDF file of the Plans is available for information only for the convenience of bidders or non-bidders upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00).

to the highest bidder.
These carts are in good condition and will be sold as a "total lot". The bidder must purchase all 66 carts. Minimum acceptable bid per cart is $1,300. Sealed bids will be accepted in the Sugar Hill City Hall, 4988 W.
Broad St until June 17, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Bids will be opened at 12:15 pm on June 17, 2011. The City reserves the right to reject any bids for less than $1,300 per cart and/or bids for less than all 66 carts.
