Betty S. Corbin, age 83 of Lawrenceville passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, July 30, 2011. Mrs. Corbin was a member of Lawrenceville First Baptist Church. In the early 1970's, Mrs. Corbin was the Hostess of First Baptist Church of Decatur and the Pioneer of the Meals on Wheels for DeKalb County. Betty & her husband, Woody Corbin owned & operated the Lawrenceville Dairy Queen for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Woody Corbin and son-in-law, Colonel Art Hoffson. Mimi is survived by her four children, Susan Hoffson, John Corbin, David Corbin and Cindy & Harvey Leake. Her loving grandchildren are Brian and Jessica Hoffson, Wellington, Florida; Laura and Casey Laws, Harvey Leake, Jr., and Daniel Woodrow Leake. Mimi adored her precious great-grandchildren, James Edmund Laws, Caroline Grace Laws and Olivia Grace Hoffson. Special nieces and nephews include Rosemary Harrison, Tracy Gonzalez, Shelby Branch and Gracie Gonzalez, Alex Harrison, Brevin Branch, Bentley Branch, Bowen Branch and Mason Cowart. Entombment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville.
