BOSTON — James Ramsey only had one hit in the Cape Cod Summer League All-Star game on Friday, but it was a powerful one.
The Wesleyan grad and Florida State All-American hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to help the East team to a 4-1 victory. The blast earned Ramsey MVP honors. Ramsey was 1-for-3 with a walk in the game that was played at historic Fenway Park, which is the home for the Boston Red Sox. Ramsey started in center field and played all nine innings of the game. Ramsey is playing summer ball for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, which is in fourth place in the East Division. Ramsey leads the team in hitting with a .327 average and 33 hits, including six home runs, 28 runs scored and 26 walks.More like this story
