Lady Gaga to release book of photographs
NEW YORK -- Lady Gaga will release a book of photographs with fashion photographer Terry Richardson.
Grand Central Publishing announced Thursday that it will release the book, ''Lady Gaga,'' on Nov. 22. The publisher said the book will include more than 350 color and black-and-white photographs of Gaga.
Richardson followed the singer for 10 months between August 2010 and February 2011. That time period includes Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour and the recording of her album ''Born This Way.''
Alex Trebek gets hurt chasing burglar
SAN FRANCISCO -- No one needed to buzz in with a response when ''Jeopardy!'' host Alex Trebek appeared at Google headquarters to host the National Geographic World Championship. The question, clearly, was why he was hobbling on crutches.
''The answer is, at 2:30 yesterday morning, chasing a burglar down the hall at my San Francisco hotel until my Achilles tendon ruptured and I fell in an ignominious heap to the carpeting,'' he jokingly explained Wednesday in the show's signature answer-before-question format.
Lucinda Moyers, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary and receiving stolen property. She's accused of stealing cash, a bracelet and other items from the room where Trebek was staying with his wife, Jean.
On Thursday, San Francisco Superior Court Judge Jeff Ross set Moyers' bail at $625,000 and ordered her to stay at least 150 feet away from the Trebeks.
Linda Ronstadt to write memoir
NEW YORK -- Linda Ronstadt broke barriers for women as one of the top-selling artists of her generation, and she's going to detail how she did it in a new memoir for Simon & Schuster.
The book publisher announced Thursday that it had acquired her autobiography, titled ''Heart Like a Wheel,'' after her Grammy-winning, multiplatinum album.
