The City of Buford Planning and Zoning Board will meet on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. and the Buford City Commission will meet on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Buford City Hall, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia 30518 to consider an amendment to the 2000 City of Buford Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations Section 1308. C-2 General Business District, Special Uses by adding “Pawn Shops” and Section 1308, subsection E. Temporary Uses concerning the sale of fruits and vegetables.




Notice is hereby given to the public that an application for a Special Use Permit has been filed with the City of Grayson, GA by Nick Longendyke/After the Game Sports Bar and Grill requesting a SUP be granted allowing After the Game Sports Bar and Grill to stay open until 2:00 a.m. every night of the week at the following described property:

A parcel of land located in the State of Georgia, County of Gwinnett, City of Grayson with a situs address of 2445 Moon Road, Suite #1, currently owned by 20 Moon Partners, LLC and having a Parcel Number of R5134 026 and being the same property more fully described as Tract #3 Bay Creek Village and described in deed book document number 40623056 last dates 11/10/2004 and recorded 4/12/1996.

A Public Hearing on the proposed SUP will be held before the Planning and Zoning Commission in the Grayson Senior Center (located behind City Hall at 475 Grayson parkway, Grayson, GA 30017) on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 7:00 PM and before the Mayor and City Council on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 7:00 PM. The City Council has the authority to approve the SUP as requested in the application and/or to place such other conditions on the SUP as the City Council deems appropriate, constitutional and in the best interest of the citizens of Grayson, GA. The public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings.





The Public is hereby notified that on August 16th, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Suwanee City Hall, 330 Town Center Avenue, The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing(s) to consider the following variance request(s):

V-2011-004- Applicant: Advertising Innovations. Owner: Wheeler/Brand Management Company. Requests a variance from Section 1611 of the Suwanee Zoning Ordinance to allow for a prohibited sign temporarily. The site is located in Land Lot 238 of the 7th District at 1000 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and contains approximately 15.19 acres.

V-2011-005 – Applicant: Angela Patton/Sage School. Owner: Calvin Jones/Front Porch Properties, Inc. Requests a variance from Section 610 of the Suwanee Zoning Ordinance to allow for a fence that exceeds the maximum height for a decorative fence within a yard abutting a public street. The site is located in Land Lot 211 of the 7th District at 3585 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and contains approximately 1.92 acres.
