LILBURN — For the second year running, Lilburn police and city officials are teaming up to raise safety awareness by bringing neighbors together.
Lilburn will host its second National Night Out from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the City Park pavilion at 75 Main St. The event, held nationally since 1984, allows citizens the chance to meet city officials and public safety personnel. Expect activities for children, live entertainment and safety related demonstrations. Leaders say the objective is to promote crime prevention activities, strengthen community relations and encourage neighborhood camaraderie. “This is an opportunity for the residents of Lilburn to come together for an evening of promoting neighborhood unity and safety,” said Lilburn Mayor Diana Preston.More like this story
