Georgia Force teammates Darnell Kennedy and Benji McDowell received two of the top three weekly awards Tuesday from the Arena Football League.
Kennedy was named the AFL's offensive player of the week after completing 21 of 32 passes for 373 yards and seven touchdowns in his first start, a 63-59 win over the Iowa Barnstormers.
McDowell, a linebacker-fullback, was the league's defensive player of the week. He had 6.5 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble in the victory over Iowa. He has six sacks this season and eight rushing TDs.
The Force's playoff opener is Sunday on the road against the Cleveland Gladiators.
