SNELLVILLE -- Radiotherapy Centers of Georgia has announced a new medical director at its Snellville office.
Dr. John Gargus began seeing patients at the current Snellville center on McGee Road in June. When a new location on Presidential Circle opens he will transition and oversee that facility.
Gargus has practiced radiation oncology in Gwinnett County for the past 15 years, and, prior to joining Radiotherapy Centers of Georgia, has worked at Gwinnett Medical Center, DeKalb Medical Center, Northside Hospital and Eastside Medical Center.
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia before completing his residency in therapeutic radiology there.
Gargus was also previously a radiation oncologist at Radiotherapy Centers of Georgia's Lawrenceville campus.
"Having 25 years experience as a radiation oncologist, we are excited to welcome back Dr. Gargus to our team," said Shelly Glenn of RCOG.
