ATLANTA -- More hot weather is forecast for Georgia, and Atlanta's air quality is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division says Atlanta's air quality index for Wednesday is 106. The EPD says anything above 100 is unhealthy for children, people sensitive to ozone and people with heart or lung diseases.
Elsewhere in the state, Macon's index for Wednesday is 90 while Columbus is rated at 53.
Temperatures are creeping back up after a short cooler spell. Highs on Wednesday are forecast to be in the low to mid-90s for most of the state, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
