The City of Duluth is playing host to a public information open house in August to discuss McClure Bridge Road improvements and the Irvindale Roundabout.
McClure Bridge Road will be rebuilt including a new roadway, curb and gutter and sidewalks on both sides of the street. Duluth will also be building a roundabout near the old Joan Glancy Hospital. The roundabout design is planned to improve traffic flow without a signal where West Lawrenceville Street, Irvindale Road and McClure Bridge Road intersect. The meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 4, is primarily for those who live near McClure Bridge Road or the intersection of Irvindale Road and West Lawrenceville Road. All interested residents, however, have been invited to attend. The gathering is scheduled for the community room, located on the lower level of city hall, 3167 Main St., Duluth.
