BETHLEHEM -- Bethlehem Christian Academy has earned accreditation that recognizes it as a school that meets the standards necessary for quality education in an authentic Christian setting.
Earlier this summer, the school received joint accreditation from both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International.
The school's board of directors decided years ago to seek the joint accreditation, according to a news release. Schools seek accreditation to validate their quality and verify that they are striving for excellence.
Going into its 12th year, Bethlehem Christian Academy serves more than 400 students in preschool through high school.
The school provides clubs, community service outings, social and family events, sports, fine arts and opportunities for leadership development. A full college preparatory class schedule is offered in traditional classes, while more specialized classes are available online and incorporated into the student's daily schedule.
This year, the school plans to further develop its high school science department and incorporate project-based learning opportunities and class trips to enhance students' learning beyond the classroom walls, the news release states. The school will also be implementing a Student Leadership Team for student ambassadors.
The school is located at 548 Ga. Highway 11 N. in Bethlehem. For more information, visit www.bethlehemchristianacademy.org or call 770-307-1574.
