Ga. megachurch to announce new campus in Gwinnett Co.

ATLANTA -- A Georgia megachurch plans to announce details for another campus in fast-growing Gwinnett, which will include a new church building.

Officials with Alpharetta-based North Point Ministries will host a webcast Tuesday night to discuss plans for Gwinnett Church.

North Point, of the nation's largest Christian organizations, has members who meet at several campuses including Alpharetta, Cumming and in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood. One of them, North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, hosted First Lady Michelle Obama during her visit to metro Atlanta in February.

North Point Ministries is led by Andy Stanley, the son of Charles F. Stanley, who is the senior pastor at First Baptist Church Atlanta.

Church officials said the new Gwinnett Church's lead pastor is Jeff Henderson.
