LAWRENCEVILLE -- A Snellville teenager has been arrested and charged with murder after police say he arranged a June drug deal that turned fatal at a Lilburn apartment complex.
An off-duty police officer patrolling The Columns at Paxton Lane stumbled upon the recently deceased body of 19-year-old Angelo Larocca on June 28, learning later that residents reported hearing gunshots in the moments prior to his gruesome discovery.
On Wednesday, police charged 18-year-old Brandon Mosley, a resident of the apartment complex, as the shooter.
Thursday, Gwinnett County sheriff's deputies arrested Hunter Mason Davis, 17, who is accused of setting up the drug deal and, according to warrants, witnessing Larocca's death.
Davis turned himself in Thursday after "deputies met with his father and he agreed to help locate his son," sheriff's department spokeswoman Stacey Bourbonnais said.
Both Davis and Mosley have been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault, and are being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
Jail records show Davis was arrested by Snellville police in February on charges of marijuana possession.
