Buford linebacker Dillon Lee was named to the High School Butkus Award watch list. Lee was one of 51 candidates from 49 high schools across 19 states to be nominated. The Butkus Award, which is named after legendary NFL linebacker Dick Butkus, will name semifinalists on Oct. 24, finalists on Nov. 22 and the winner will be notified on Dec. 7.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Lee committed to the University of Alabama in May.
Former Parkview linebacker Raphael Kirby, who transferred to Stephenson, was also on the watch list. Kirby has committed to Miami.
