LAWRENCEVILLE -- A teenage boy attempting to cross Sugarloaf Parkway was struck by a car and hospitalized Tuesday evening, police said.
The teen, who police did not identify, was crossing the parkway on foot in front of a Publix supermarket near Five Forks Trickum Road when he was struck by a passenger car, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli.
"The driver of the car is not facing any charges," Ritter said.
Police said the boy was transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite in serious condition.
An update on his condition wasn't available Wednesday.
