Mr. Harold R. Bryant, age 81, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hyman Bryant, Sr. and Annie Pruitt Bryant; brothers, W. H. Bryant, Jr., Larry Bryant and Pickett Bryant; and sister, Charlotte Bryant Humphrey. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Norman Davis Bryant, Buford, GA; daughter, Lynn Bryant, Sharpsburg, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Teddy and Josie Bryant, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Mary Jane and Robert Broussard, Watkinsville, GA, Ted Bryant, Buford, GA and Russell Bryant, Buford, GA; great grandchildren, Brayden Bryant, Logan Broussard and Gavin Broussard; sister-in-law, Sandra Beard Bryant, Buford, GA; nieces, Donna Przybylowski, Dianne Albertson and Nancy Holbrook; nephews, David Humphrey and Scotty Bryant; great niece, Esther Young; great nephews, Billy Young, John Albertson and Anthony Przybylowski; and special friends, Patricia Beard Adams, Sonya Holland Cropper and Ken Albertson. Mr. Bryant was born September 28, 1929 in Hall County, GA. He was a 1948 graduate of Buford High School in Buford, GA where he was on the First State Championship Football Team. He also played on the City of Buford Baseball Team as a pitcher. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict where he received a Silver Star and was a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service having worked in the Doraville Post Office. He was a member of the Buford Lions Club and Sherwood Drugstore Coffee Club. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buford where he was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class, a founding member of the Silvertone Choir, and a member and former treasurer of the Abundant Life Fellowship. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Buford with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Helping Hands Missions, c/o Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 3104 Poplar Springs Church Road, Gainesville, GA 30507 or to Eagle Ranch, P.O.
