ON THE MENU
• Hummus: Chickpeas blended with tahini, fresh garlic, olive oil, roasted red pepper. Served with pita bread. $4.99.
• Barreh Kabob: A skewer of charbroiled tender filet of lamb, cooked on an open fire to perfection. Served with saffron rice, pita bread, Greek salad and a choice of charbroiled tomatoes or sauteed vegetables. $13.99 lunch, $16.99 dinner.
• Persian Chicken Sandwich: Chicken breast smothered with mozzarella cheese, light feta cheese, fresh herbs, Tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green pepper and light Greek sauce. Served with French fries or Greek pototoes and a drink. 8-inch combo $8.49.
• OPA! Plate: Gyro meat topped with grilled onions. mushrooms and hot sauce. Served with a side of Greek salad, Greek potatoes, pita bread, feta cheese and Tzatziki sauce. $10.49

• Atmosphere: When you hear Opa! you immediately think of Greek. But this fine establishment not only offers authentic Greek cuisine, but Persian and Mediterranean as well.
Manager, Fatima Ghayournejadian said that they wanted to give the restaurant a “homey” feel to it and tried to stick with warm tone colors. The decor is centered around warm greens and browns. The dining area is casual with chestnut colored dining tables and comfy cushioned chairs. The large windows let in the natural light giving a great balance to the warm tones.
Fatima Ghayournejadian said that the restaurant is very family based and like their Persian heritage, they treat each customer as if they were family.
• Menu: The flexible menu offers a mix of Greek, Persian and Mediterranean foods.
Owner, Moe Ghayournejadian came to the country for college in 1979 and started working parttime at Burger King along with other restaurants. His love for cooking and dreams of opening a business led him into starting various food establishments throughout the Atlanta area including their newest location Opa!
After working at a Greek restaurant, he decided to open one of his own, but felt that the menu needed more of a mix that included some of his own native food. It features kabobs, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, platters, grilled dishes and desserts.
Like the name, the restaurant offers a variety of kabobs from a regular shish kabob to the most popular — lamb kabob.
They also have sandwiches from your typical Philadelphia cheesesteak to their specialty Persian chicken sandwich.
The appetizers range from the chicken finger basket to the popular Middle Eastern dish hummus.
All desserts are homemade and include cakes and popular Greek pastries such as baklava and kataifi.
Drinks include regular Coke products, coffee, iced tea, green tea and Persian tea.
• Things you might not know: Opa! recently got its liquor license and will not only serve beer and wine, but Greek beer and wine. They will start opening the restaurant on Sundays and begin serving alcohol this Sunday.
In the next few weeks, Opa! will be featuring belly dancers and hookas every Friday and Saturday.
Opa! is available to rent-out for special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, engagements or any other special events.
Opa! does dine-in and take-out, but it also offers a catering service.
