LAWRENCEVILLE — Gwinnett police on Tuesday could release few new details regarding the discovery of a dead man and woman found near a Lawrenceville dirt road four days prior.
The owner of the isolated property near the intersection of New Hope Road and Sugarloaf Parkway called police to the area Friday morning, concerned the trespassers were illegally dumping trash. Instead, police found a dead woman on the ground outside a red, late-model Ford F-150, and a dead man sprawled inside the cab. Both were described as white adults, with ages between late 30s and early 50s. Jake Smith said the bodies didn’t appear to have been there long. No signs of drug use were apparent at the scene, he said. Police are investigating the incident as a homicide unless they discover evidence indicating otherwise, Smith said.More like this story
