DACULA — A Dacula retiree recently took home more than $633,000 in lottery winnings, becoming the second big-money earner from Gwinnett the Georgia Lottery has reported in two days.
Charles Seltzer, 79, won $633,545 in the Dec. 29 drawing of Fantasy 5, claiming his prize this month, lottery officials said Friday. Seltzer purchased his winning ticket at the QuikTrip at 2460 Hamilton Mill Road in Dacula. He told lottery officials he remained calm after discovering he had hit the jackpot with the numbers 1, 9, 10, 12 and 37. “My wife was a little more enthused than I was,” he said. Seltzer told lottery officials he planned to donate to charities and share the prize with his three children and four grandchildren. Friday’s announcement came less than 24 hours after the Georgia Lottery announced that 54-year-old Buford resident Mary Restauri won $500,000 on a Jumbo Jumbo Bucks scratch-off ticket.More like this story
