LAWRENCEVILLE -- Police are looking for two women believed to have stolen credit cards from an elderly resident of a Lawrenceville assisted living facility, racking up thousands of dollars of charges in recent weeks.
Gwinnett County police released surveillance photos Wednesday of the two women they say pilfered four credit cards from the apartment of their 95-year-old female victim, who lives at Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett on Club Drive.
Between Dec. 20 and 22 of last year, the victim's credit cards were used at "several different locations throughout metro Atlanta," police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said. The fraudulent charges totaled more than $4,500, he said.
A police report showed various charges at Walmart, Target and HH Gregg stores on three different cards, most for several hundred dollars.
Officials were tight-lipped about the relationship between the suspects and the victim Wednesday.
"At this time, the detective can't confirm that either of the two in the photo is an employee," Smith said.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Gwinnett County police at 770-513-5300.
