Howard Oliver Moore, Jr., 80, of Duluth, GA, died January 12, 2011. The funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16th, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel in Norcross. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 17th, at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Moore was an Industrial Engineer with General Motors and retired in 1980. He became president of A-1 Signs from 1980-2000. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a member of Briarcliff Baptist Church and Emeritus member of Palestine Lodge #486 F&AM. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Moore of Duluth; son and daughter-in-law, Jason & Linda Moore of Duluth; brother, Douglas L. Moore of Braselton; sisters, Cornelia Jo Mull of Atlanta and Dr. Norma Martoff of Bowie, MD; grandchildren, Jay Moore and Laura Moore, both of Duluth.
