LAWRENCEVILLE — Former Commissioner Bert Nasuti did not have to wait long for a new role in the county.
At the first meeting without the Peachtree Corners man, who did not seek re-election after nine years in office, Nasuti was appointed to the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau board. Since he began his dream of bringing minor-league baseball to Gwinnett, Nasuti served on the board as a commissioner for the past several years. Now he takes one of two slots commissioners appoint to members of the community. Commissioner Lynette Howard, who replaced Nasuti in District 2, and District 4 Commissioner John Heard were appointed to the commissioner positions on the board.More like this story
