DULUTH — In a two-year period that has seen many mortgage companies struggle or even fail, Gwinnett’s Brand Mortgage Group is celebrating success.
The company, which plans another expansion in 2011, has added more than 100 new jobs and doubled its space in the past two years, a press release from the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce said.
“Rates are low, refinancing opportunities are just right and the Gwinnett and metro Atlanta area has a lot of opportunity,” said Greg Shumate, president of Brand Mortgage. “With diverse housing options and the nation’s fastest growing urban population, it is a great place to be for business development and growth.”
The Duluth-based company expanded its Sugarloaf Parkway location and added a Buckhead office.
“It is great to see a mortgage firm like Brand finding ways to provide solutions and working successfully to support Gwinnett’s business community,” Gwinnett Commission Vice Chair Shirley Lasseter said. “We are pleased to see them growing here and believe their growth and success to be indicative of a brighter future for Gwinnett just around the corner.”
The company is a full-service lender, that offers financing through FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional and Jumbo loans.
“It is always great to hear when one of the pillars in your community sees growth and success as they have seen,” Gwinnett Chamber Vice President Nick Masino said. “We congratulate them on this solid development and look forward to continued expansion in the coming years.
In the next quarter, the company plans to expand to Kennesaw, Savannah and Douglasville, and later in the year anticipates new offices in Alpharetta and Nashville as well as North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
