Silverbacks add three scoring threats to roster

Coach Jose Manuel Abundis has three more options for goal-scoring with the signing of three more players to the Silverbacks roster.

Emsad Zahirovic, a 6-foot-2 native of Bosnia, has lived in the Atlanta area since 2000 and comes to the club after playing in the Atlanta District Amateur Soccer League. He led the league’s first division in scoring three of the past four seasons and has scored 23 goals in 15 games in 2011.

Jose Parada scored 27 goals in 74 games as a midfielder at the University of Tulsa. He was named to the All-Conference USA team four times.

Defender Patrick Robertson played for the Puerto Rico Islanders in the 2010 SuperCopa tournament. He tallied five goals with the Islanders and Bayamon F.C. of the Puerto Rico Soccer League in the past two years. Robertson scored nine goals in his college career at Coastal Carolina University.
