The Atlanta Dream women’s basketball team will play in the first WNBA game held in Europe when it travels to Manchester, England, for a matchup with a yet to be determined opponent, the league announced Monday.
The May 29 preseason game will be only the second international WNBA game, following a 2004 game played in Monterrey, Mexico, in the league’s 15-year history. The Dream made the WNBA playoffs each of the past two seasons, reaching last year’s finals in the team’s third season.More like this story
