SUWANEE — County officials urge Gwinnett residents to be alert after a cat tested positive for rabies in Suwanee.
The infected feline was found on Scales road, near Buford Highway and McGinnis Ferry Road. Officials ask anyone who spots strange animals in the area to call 911 to dispatch Gwinnett County Animal Control personnel. It could be wise to keep pets inside for a while, and to have them vaccinated for rabies, officials said. For more information, contact Officer L. Merck at 770-339-3200 ext. 5576.More like this story
