A big weekend for Parkview baseball starts today, when the program will honor longtime coach Roy “Chief” Massey by retiring his jersey.
Massey has coached at Parkview since the school opened in both baseball and football. A 2011 inductee into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame, he also taught at Parkview until his retirement. The ceremony for Massey will be today, prior to a 6 p.m. Parkview game against Mill Creek. The Panthers also will have a ceremony Saturday to honor their 2001 state championship baseball team on the 10th anniversary of their feat. That event will be held prior to a 2 p.m. game with McEachern.More like this story
