DULUTH — A Duluth grandmother has hit the jackpot for the fourth time.
Judy Slone, 62, recently took home a $400,000 prize when she won on a “20X the Money” ticket she bought at the Texaco station at 3554 Buford Highway. It wasn’t her first big-money win, Georgia Lottery officials said. The electrical worker won $27,777 playing an instant game in 2004, buying new furniture with her prizes. She went on to win $1 million in 2005, buying Lasik surgery and a new car with the prize. In 2009, Slone won again on an instant game, that time taking home $100,000 and vacationing in Puerto Rico. “I just get a premonition,” she told lottery officials. “When I saw that I’d won $400,000 I said to myself, ‘I’ve got to read it again.’” Slone said she doesn’t plan to retire as a result of the multiple wins, but will save for her retirement, which is “years away.”More like this story
