Georgia Force partners with Gwinnett Medical Center

DULUTH — The Georgia Force arena football team has named Gwinnett Medical Center as its official hospital partner.

Gwinnett Medical Center will provide full medical treatment to the team, including a team trainer, rehabilitation facilities, and injury treatment and prevention, officials said.

“We are very excited about our partnership with Gwinnett Medical Center,” Georgia Force President Ron Evans said in a news release.

“Their staff and support have already exceeded any expectation we could have imagined and we are extremely excited about what the future holds with this partnership.”

The Force, which played at the Arena at Gwinnett Center from 2002-08 before the Arena Football League temporarily disbanded, will be back in Duluth for the upcoming season.

“We see this partnership as an opportunity for our team to support their team,” GMC spokeswoman Dolores Ware said. “Our sports medicine specialists are experienced in helping athletes from all ages and all levels of competition prevent injury, heal and return to action.”
