Renis "Tibby" Joseph Desjardin, 89, of Lawrenceville, GA, loving husband of Doris Caron Desjardin, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Tibby was born February 20, 1921, in Hamlin, ME the son of the late Irenie and Sophie (Bouchard) Desjardin. Tibby lived most of his life in Connecticut, raising his family in Enfield and retired with his wife to Lawrenceville, Georgia in 2000. He enjoyed family vacations, ballroom, round and square dancing. He was a Cub Scout volunteer, Little League Baseball coach and a member of Enrico Fermi High School Booster Club. Tibby proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps, 8th Air Force, 824th Air Engineering Squadron. He was a retired Teamster Local 559. In addition to his wife, Doris he is survived by his daughter, Dot Desjardin with whom he resided with in Lawrenceville, GA; two sons, Robert Desjardin and his fiancée, Stacie Couto both of Hamilton, OH and Timothy Desjardin and his wife, Laurie of Enfield, CT. Tibby is also survived by his granddaughters, Michelle Arcouette (her husband Jayson) and Emily Desjardin; great-grandsons, Tyler and Brenden Arcouette both of Enfield; his sister, Theresa Fitmaurice of Cambridge, MA and many loved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Tuesday, February, 15, 2011, from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 8 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT. A funeral procession will gather on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 10 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at St. Bernard Church. Burial will follow with military honors in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Tibby may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
