NORCROSS — Firefighters made quick work of a blaze in Norcross on Friday evening, containing it to the air conditioning unit they believe it started from.
Crews responded to the home on the 3900 block of Singletree Place at about 5:40 p.m., finding light smoke showing form the two-story house, Gwinnett County fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said.
Firefighters had the blaze under control before 6 p.m.
The fire is believed to have started in the area of an HVAC unit, Rutledge said. The occupants were home at the time and escaped unharmed, he said.
