Man arrested in lewd photo case

LAWRENCEVILLE — The former principal of an Atlanta high school was arrested Monday on charges he texted pictures of his penis to a Gwinnett teenager and her mother, officials said.

Andre Williams — the former principal of Crim Open Campus High School on Memorial Drive in Atlanta — was booked at Gwinnett County Jail on Monday on charges of unlawful distribution of obscene material to a minor, police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.

Police began investigating Williams last May when the 16-year-old victim’s mother reported that both she and her daughter had been receiving lewd text messages, part of an alleged love triangle involving Williams and the mother, Smith said.

The final straw was when they both received a message containing a photo of a penis, the mother told police. The 16-year-old was a Gwinnett County high school student at the time of the alleged crime, Smith said.

Williams had not posted $5,000 bond Monday evening.
