TUCKER — Police say a man crept into a sleeping Tucker woman’s apartment window Jan. 30 and sexually assaulted her, all while his buddy played lookout.

Police want your help in catching them.

The assault happened about 8 p.m. at the Carrington Chase Apartments on South Norcross-Tucker Road, near the DeKalb County line.

Police say the 29-year-old victim got a good look at the man who raped her. He held his hand over her mouth during the attack to silence her screaming, police said.

Following the sexual assault, the man reportedly swiped the victim’s keys and laptop and fled with his accomplice, who’d remained outside.

The woman provided police with enough information for a composite sketch, which was included in a flier that investigators blanketed the area with, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter.

Police described both suspects as black men who wore dark clothing.

More specifically, the man who entered the apartment was between 6 feet and 6 feet, 3 inches tall, 200 pounds with a muscular build and a large mole on the edge of his upper left eyelid. Dressed head-to-toe in black, he wore a stocking cap, gloves, a zip-up sweatshirt with no visible logos and sweatpants, police said.

“The suspect had lip twitches and continuously licked his lips,” Ritter said.

The second man was described as 5 feet tall with a thin build. He wore a black hood or mask and a black fur or faux fur jacket, police said.

Police urge anyone with information to contact Gwinnett police investigators at 770-513-5300.
