LAWRENCEVILLE — A fire that broke out Saturday evening in a vacant townhome on Providence Oak Lane in Lawrenceville caused extensive damage.
A next-door neighbor reported the blaze about 5:50 p.m. Saturday, said Lt. Eric Eberly, spokesman for Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen area, but the exact cause is undetermined and under investigation, Eberly said. The unit, which is listed for sale, suffered extensive damage from the fire and smoke. — From staff reportsMore like this story
