Locals join Valdosta State soccer's first class

Three players with Gwinnett County roots are among the 22 players in the first signing class for the Valdosta State women’s soccer program.

The group includes North Gwinnett midfielder Abbi Edwards, a central midfielder for the Bulldogs’ state championship team last season, as well as defenders Arielle Sabina and Lizzie Lohmar. Sabina is a Central Gwinnett grad who is a transfer from Georgia Perimeter College and Lohmar is entering her third season as a Collins Hill starter.
