Young baseball players interested in one-on-one instruction and interaction with Atlanta Braves all-star catcher Brian McCann will get the opportunity this weekend.
Brian McCann Day will be Saturday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at McCann’s Windward Baseball Academy, which is owned and operated by McCann’s family. The facility is at 1180 Tidwell Road, Suite 201 in Alpharetta.
McCann, the first Brave to make the All-Star Game in his first five full seasons and already a four-time Silver Slugger Award winner, will work with the campers during hitting and pitching clinics, as will the academy staff. Participants also receive an autographed photo of McCann and get their photo taken with the Duluth grad.
The clinic is limited to the first 50 youth players who sign up. Cost is $200 per player.
