LAWRENCEVILLE — Partnership Gwinnett’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Council, together with Gwinnett Medical Center, will host the newest in its series of health-related seminars next week.
The program, entitled “The Hidden Epidemic: Heart Disease in America,” will be held Feb. 11 at Gwinnett Technical College’s Busbee Center. A networking breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the forum scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m. The program will feature topics such as signs and symptoms of heart disease, risk factors, healthy behaviors and local heart healthy resources. The free forum will give attendees the opportunity to visit educational booths and walk away with free “heart smart” items like pedometers, water bottles and heart rate monitor cards. Guests are encouraged to RSVP, but not required. For questions or to RSVP, e-mail Lindsay Myers at lindsay@gwinnettchamber.org.More like this story
