LAWRENCEVILLE — Eighth-graders interested in joining the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology’s upcoming freshman class still have time to apply.
The deadline for submitting the registration form has been extended to Friday. Enrollment is open to any student who completes the eighth-grade promotion requirements and resides in Gwinnett County. GSMST is a charter school that focuses on advanced and challenging studies in the fields of engineering, bioscience and emerging technology. The school is located at 970 McElvaney Lane, Lawrenceville. Because of the number of registrations received to date, Gwinnett County Public Schools will hold a lottery for the selection of next year’s freshman class at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Instructional Support Center, 437 Old Peachtree Road N.W., Suwanee.
