DECATUR (AP) -- Police in Decatur are investigating a report of a syringe found in a pair of children's pants purchased from a store.
Police say they're investigating after a Stone Mountain mother said she found the syringe inside pants she had just purchased for her 4-year-old daughter at The Athlete's Foot on Wesley Chapel Road.
Ashley King said she bought the pants on Christmas Eve and discovered the syringe on Tuesday. Her child wasn't injured.
Store manager Damien Hughes said he would review surveillance footage with police.
The investigation comes after several syringes were found in a north Georgia Walmart store in recent weeks.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. spokeswoman Dianna Gee has said company officials believe that syringe scare is isolated to its Cartersville store.
