BRASELTON -- Northeast Georgia Medical Center has scheduled a series of community forums aimed at giving residents input on a proposed new campus for the Braselton area.
The meetings, held at five different locations throughout the month of January, will be facilitated by hospital staff and Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, the architect chosen for the project. Residents in the greater Braselton area will be able to provide input on the campus' development.
The facility will be constructed at the same site as the Northeast Georgia Health System's Medical Plaza 1, which is located at 5875 Thompson Mill Road in Hoschton.
"Our commitment throughout this process has been to give (the community) the opportunity to provide input into the development of the River Place campus," said Tracy Vardeman, the hospital system's vice president of strategic planning and marketing. "This will be their community's hospital and health care destination, and we want to give them the chance to help make it their own."
Local forums will be held Jan. 11 at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in Buford; Jan. 24 at the Town Hall Community Room in Braselton; and Jan. 26 at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church in Dacula.
Additional forums are also scheduled in Hall County and Jefferson.
All meetings will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and include light refreshments.
Those unable to attend a community forum can provide feedback through an online survey at www.nghs.com/riverplace. For more information on the forums or the new campus, call 770-219-3840.
