Harrison Carter age 76 of Dacula, GA passed away Thursday, December 23, 2011. He leaves to cherish his memory to his loving wife of 56 years Mittie Carter; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Valyncia Carter; daughter and son-in-law, Germaine and Mark Bartlett; brother, Louis Carter; sisters, Margaret Bates and Mildred Montgomery; three grandsons, three granddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. Harrison was born on January 29, 1935 in New Orleans, LA to Joseph and Olivia Carter. After 22 years of dedicated service in the Army, Harrison retired as a highly decorated officer in November of 1976. He then became one of the top car salesmen, well known in the Tangipahoa Parish area. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, 2 sisters, and 11 brothers. The Service to Celebrate the Life of Harrison Carter will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00am at the chapel of Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Mac Palmer officiating. Interment Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the funeral home.
