Archer wins JV county wrestling title

HOSCHTON -- Archer won the JV county wrestling tournament on Saturday at Mill Creek High School. The Tigers also won the varsity county tournament on the same day.

The Tigers had five county champions to score 236.5 points. They beat out Greater Atlanta Christian (191 points), Mountain View (180) and North Gwinnett (150).

Archer's county champions were Jaali El-Shaakir (126 pounds), Trey Rinehart (132), Brandon Weber (145), Joey Salgado (160), M.J. Couzan (285).

Mountain View had the second-most county champs with Will Adams (106), Kevin Truglio (113) and Dillion Stafford (182) getting titles.

Berkmar's Ethan Castaneda (138) and Jose Acosta (195), Collins Hill's Austin Arnold (100), Grayson's Javaughn Anderson (120), North Gwinnett's Alex Larson (152), Meadowcreek's Kenneth Harden (170) and Shiloh's Keith Thicklin (220) also won county JV titles.
